Bruiser the Bruin

Bruiser the Bruin became the Belmont University mascot in the fall of 2003. He can be seen at all Belmont Basketball home games in the Curb Event Center, any athletic events where the Belmont Cheerleaders are present and several other athletic and special events around campus. The name “Bruiser” was dramatically chosen based on crowd noise by the Belmont student body (M.O.B.) at one of the first live events inside the Curb Event Center before the 2003-2004 basketball season (over 100 names were initially submitted by Belmont students).
